The People’s Bank created history recently when its annual report secured 2nd place in a global ‘Annual Report Competition’ organized by the South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA),competing with several well known public sector entities from countries including Pakistan, India, Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka some of the most dominant players in the SAARC region. The special award for financial statements under the ‘Public Sector Category’ in year 2008 was bagged by PB underlining its commitment to upholding highest standards.
