State banking giant and winner of the ‘Banking and Financial Services Brand of the Year’ award, at People’s Awards – 2007, People’s Bank continues to produce winners through its ‘Jaya Sri’ Grand Draw. The draw runs concurrent to the deposit mobilization campaign held under the Bank’s ‘Saving’s Year – 2007’ theme, with the aim of moving the nation ‘towards excellence through strength.’

Coinciding with the Bank’s 46th anniversary, this on-going campaign has an array of valuable gifts in-store for those who save with People’s Bank. Gifts comprise camera phones, mixer grinders and CDMA phones in the monthly draws (July, August, September respectively), while a luxury house worth Rs.10mn, brand new cars, motorcycles and traveling bags are on offer for the year end grand draw.

The monthly draw for August was held recently at the People’s Bank Head Office, under the patronage of Mr. K. U. Pushpakumara, DGM – Branches. At this draw 324 lucky savings account holders were chosen as winners of 324 mixer grinders, with each branch of People’s Bank producing a winner. This draw was held in the presence of Mr. Nimal D. Gamage, Senior Assistant Secretary – Media to the Ministry of Public Administration and the internal audit officers of People’s Bank. The corporate management and staff of People’s Bank were also present at the occasion.
