State banking giant People’s Bank celebrated its 47th anniversary on 01 July 2008 under the theme of service excellence. As part of its anniversary activities, the Hindu religious celebration was organized at the Captain Gardens Kovil in Colombo, by the Hindu Society of the Bank, with the participation of the corporate management, the staff and well wishers of People’s Bank. Mr. W. Karunajeewa, Chairman, People’s Bank; Mr. M. Wickramasinghe, Chief Executive Officer/General Manager and members of the corporate management are seen here participating in the religious ceremony, conducted by Chief Priest Brahmmasri B. Shanmugaratna Sarma. Students of Thondar Maha Vidyalaya, Colombo 10 received their ‘Sisu Udana’ accounts at the same ceremony.
