State banking giant People’s Bank recently held the September draw of ‘Jaya Sri 2008’, the grand draw that brings you a wide variety of gifts. The draw, held at the People’s Bank Head Office, was conducted under the patronage of Ms. Kanthi Atukorale, Secretary to the Board of Directors. She is seen here at the draw, selecting the number for the first prize winner. The draw was held in the presence of Mrs. T. M. R. M. Gunawardana, Senior Assessor, Department of Revenue – Western Provincial Council and Mr. M. A. S. I. Abeywardena, Tax Officer of the Department of Revenue – Western Provincial Council, and the internal audit officers of People’s Bank.

‘Jaya Sri’ 2008 consists of an array of valuable gifts for those who save with People’s Bank. Anyone who has a People’s Bank savings or current account with a minimum balance of Rs.25,000/= is eligible for the draw. Winners of each monthly draw will win a valuable car as the first prize, followed by 5 computers, 5 digital cameras, 5 refrigerators and 5 televisions for 20 more lucky winners. Also on offer are 325 sewing machines (in September) and 325 mobile phones (October to December). The year-end grand draw winner will receive Rs.10mn as the grand prize.
