State banking giant People’s Bank continues to produce winners through its ‘Jaya Sri 2008’ grand draw. The monthly draw for June was held recently at the People’s Bank Head Office, under the patronage of Mr. Kumar Mayadunne, Head of Banking Services. He is seen here at the draw (second from left), selecting the number for the first prize winner. The draw was held in the presence of Mr. U. P. G. Udadeniya, Deputy Commissioner – Provincial Revenue, and Mr. M. A. S. I. Abeywardena, Tax Officer of the Department of Revenue – Western Provincial Council, and the internal audit officers of People’s Bank.

A wide and valuable range of prizes await those who save with ‘Jaya Sri’. Winners of each monthly draw stand to win a valuable car as the first prize, followed by 5 computers, 5 digital cameras, 5 refrigerators and 5 televisions. Prizes also include 325 DVD players (April to June), 325 sewing machines (July to September) and 325 mobile phones (October to December). A grand prize of Rs.10mn is on offer for the year-end grand draw of ‘Jaya Sri 2008’. All that is needed to be eligible for the draw is a People’s Bank savings or current account with a minimum balance of Rs.25,000/=.
