His Excellency the President Mahinda Rajapaksa handed over a sponsorship cheque for Rs.5 Million from People’s Bank to Mannar Bishop Most. Rev. Dr. Rayappu Joseph to construct a Pilgrims’ Rest at Madhu Church premises.

The donation was made at Temple Trees yesterday. Rev. Joseph gifted a three dimensional portrait of St Mary’s statue to the President as a mark of appreciation.

Madhu Church Parish Priest Rev E Pillai, Kandy St Benedict’s College Principal Sylvester Jayakody and Director of P People’s Bank Dr. D.J.D. Jayakody, General Manager N. Vasantha Kumar were also present.
