Three lucky winners of the People's Bank "Jaya Sri 2004" year end grand draw received Rs. 8 million in the form of cash prizes at a special ceremony held at the People's Bank Head Office in Colombo. The grand prize of Rs. 5 million was awarded to Mr. Attanayake Bandara of Peradeniya by the Chairman of People's Bank - Mr. P. Amarasinghe.

The second prize winner Dr. Mrs. Deepa Nalani of Matara and the third lucky winner Mr. Vigneswaramoorthy of Vanni received their cash prizes of Rs. 2 million and Rs. 1 million each from the CEO/ General Manager of People's Bank - Mr. Asoka de Silva. The Head of Marketing & Public Affairs - Mr. Deepal Abeysekera, DGM Branches - Mr. Sumathipala Kariyawasam, members of the management, staff and immediate family members of the three winners were also present on this occasion.

The "Jaya Sri" rewards scheme was launched in the year 2000. Since then the bank has awarded a range of attractive prizes in the form of cash, luxury vehicles, houses and gold coins to the lucky winners of the annual, quarterly and monthly draws. People's Bank account holders can look forward to additional winning chances this year with the bank giving away 325 prizes of Rs. 10000/- each at a monthly draw, 10 quarterly prizes of a maximum of Rs. 250000/- or five times the balance in the winners savings account. Apart from these attractive prizes a grand cash prize of 10 times the balance in the winners savings account up to a maximum of Rs. 3 million and a super prize of a super luxury jaguar car or Rs. 5 million in cash will be on offer through the "Jaya Sri 2005" rewards scheme.

Account holders who maintain a minimum balance of Rs. 10000/- in a savings account or Rs. 5000/- in a current account will have the opportunity of entering the "Jaya Sri 2005" monthly, quarterly and grand draws to be held this year.
