People's Bank sponsored the Industrial Sector Awards of the 13th National Chamber of Exporters Awards ceremony which was held on the 28th of October 2005 at the BMICH in Colombo. People's Bank has been the Principal Sponsor of the industrial category awards since the year 1993. The largest number of trophies are given away under this category each year.

The NCE awards scheme is a tribute to Sri Lankan exporters for their contribution towards economic development. While recognizing their achievements this awards scheme also motivates entrepreneurs to improve their business performance year on year.
