Resident Non National Foreign Currency Account

Foreign nationals resident in Sri Lanka either temporarily or permanently on Resident visa, can open these accounts and could be maintained either as savings accounts or fixed deposits.

Resident Non National Foreign Currency Account Can be Opened as

• Savings Accounts
• Fixed Deposit Accounts

      Minimum Initial Deposit

• Savings Accounts - USD 50.
• Fixed Deposit Accounts - USD 1000.

      RNNFC Accounts can be opened in,

• US Dollars
• Singapore Dollars
• Canadian Dollars
• Sterling Pounds
• Australian Dollars
• Euro
• Swiss Francs

Deposits to RNNFC Account

• Inward remittances of foreign currency in favour of the account holder.

Withdrawals from RNNFC Account

• Outward remittances.
• Release of foreign exchange in travellers cheques or currency notes etc for  travel purposes on production of travel tickets currency notes are permitted up to USD 500.
• Sri Lanka Rupees withdrawals.
