Eligibility

Senior foreign nationals who wish to prolong their stay in Sri Lanka on resident visa under the “Sri Lanka My Dream Home Programme ” who are over 55 years of age.

 

Types of Accounts

Fixed Deposits Minimum Deposit USD 15,000 or its Equivalent in other designated foreign currencies such as -

• US Dollars
• Singapore Dollars
• Canadian Dollars
• Sterling Pounds
• Australian Dollars
• Euro
• Swiss Francs
• Hong Kong Dollars
• Japanese Yens
• New Zealand Dollars
• Swedish Kroners
• Danish Kroners
• Norwegian Kroners
  

 

Permitted Credits (Deposits)

• Foreign Currency brought in to the country through the banking channels for depositing in such accounts

Permitted Debits (Withdrawals)

• Withdrawals will be with the prior approval of the controller of exchange at the time the senior foreign national decides to terminate his stay in Sri Lanka.
