COCONUT DEVELOPMENT LOAN SCHEME (KAPRUKA)

A special loan scheme by the name of Kapruka has been introduced in collaboration with the Coconut Cultivation Board to extend credit facilities to cultivator with the view of encouraging domestic coconut production.

• SECTORS LOANS ARE PROVIDED

• Coconut new planting and inter cropping
• Coconut replanting and inter cropping
• Coconut planting as a mono cropping / coconut mono cropping
• Rehabilitation of coconut lands and inter cropping
• Coconut rehabilitation (rehabilitation of coconut planting)
• Establishment of drip irrigation system
• Establishment of hose irrigation system
• Purchase of farm machinery for coconut inter crops
• Cattle farming under adult coconut plantations
• Sheep & goat farming under adult coconut plantations
• Special projects associated with coconut plantations

• MAXIMUM LOAN AMOUNT

Maximum loan limit per person Rs.1000,000

• REPAYMENT PERIOD

5 years including the 6 months grace period

• SECURITIES

Up to Rs.250,000/=	Two personal guarantors acceptable to the bank
Over Rs.500,000/=	Mortgage over a movable or immovable property.
