The Common Electronic Fund Transfer (CEFT) system was implemented in 2015 to transfer funds between Sri Lankan local banks. CEFTS transactions are taken place online real time manner. Customers are able to use this facility over the counter as well as via People’s Bank digital platforms such as Internet Banking, WaveApp, PayApp, ect.
When executing interbank transaction using CEFTS facility customer might do mistakes such as selected wrong bank name, entered wrong account number, wrong amount, duplicate transactions, ect. When this type of disputes occur, customer himself cannot reverse particular transaction, hence need to contact bank for reversal request.
For this purpose bank initiates a charge back case with destination bank to recover erroneously transferred funds. Accordingly when a dispute occurs our customers are informed to send us a reversal request using following link.
Upon receivance of above reversal request bank will provide Charge Back Case ID via SMS/Email to the particular customer. Customers are able to aware states of Charge Back process by providing this link to bank.
