People's Bank is pleased to announce that we are continuing the successful "People’s Remittance Vaasi Kotiyai" promotional campaign for the year 2025. This marks the fourth consecutive year of this initiative, designed to recognize and reward the invaluable contributions of Sri Lankan expatriates working abroad.
At People's Bank, we deeply value the hard work and dedication of our fellow citizens who work tirelessly abroad to support their families and communities back home. The "Vasi Kotiyai" campaign aims to honor these efforts by providing meaningful rewards and recognition to our expatriates, acknowledging their commitment and sacrifices. Your hard work does not go unnoticed, and we are proud to stand by you, recognizing the vital role you play in our country’s prosperity.
Eligibility
Workers’ Remittances received through People’s e-Remittance, People’s Instant Remit, People’s Web Remit, Telexes, Swift, Western Union, RIA or similar anywhere payout products of the People’s Bank during the period from 2025.01.01-2025.12.31 and effected in the following manner are eligible for the Draw.
- To the Credit of People’s Bank personal accounts
- For over-the-counter cash payments (B2B)
- Western Union
- RIA and any other “anywhere payout products”
Prizes
- Winners will be selected on a weekly basis from the Workers’ Remittances received during the respective weeks.
- Each Rs. 100,000 (or it’s equivalent in other currencies) of the Workers’ Remittance is eligible for multiple winning chances.
- One Winner per week will be awarded a Bangkok Tour (Thailand) with Return Air Ticket, accommodation and site seeing.
- In the event the winner is unable to attend the tour, the prize money equivalent to the Bangkok tour will be given as a cash prize to the credit of his/her account.
